Duties and Responsibilities

• Assessing psycho-social history of patients/clients;
• Recording psycho-social history of patients/clients;
• Identifying needy clients for psycho- social support;
• Verifying supportive documents provided by patients/clients;
• Collecting patient/clients’ biodata including relevant interventions; and
• Sensitizing and enabling enrolment of clients to social health authority and social health
• insurance fund or choice health insurance covers.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, Candidates must have: –

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum mean grade of C
• (plain) or its equivalent qualification.
• Diploma in any of the following fields: Medical Social Work, Social Work,
• Sociology, Mental Health, Anthropology, Psychology or equivalent
• qualification from a recognized institution;
• Membership to professional body and
• Computer proficiency.
