We are seeking a competent, reliable, and detail-oriented Legal Clerk to join our legal team. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in legal procedures and have prior experience working in a law firm or legal department.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, format, and file legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
- File court documents physically and through e-filing systems
- Maintain and organize case files and client records
- Schedule court dates, client meetings, and follow-ups
- Liaise with courts, registries, clients, and other stakeholders
- Assist advocates with case preparation and documentation
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and timelines
- Handle confidential information with discretion
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Law (LLB), Paralegal Studies, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a law firm or legal environment
- Strong understanding of court procedures and legal documentation
- Experience with legal drafting and case management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal filing systems
