Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

• Implement Standard Operating Procedures;
• Implement section plans and work plans;
• Cleaning bins and benches and ensuring proper disposal of analytical waste.
• Maintain reorder level for waste disposal bags
• Adhere to MSDS requirements
• Implement Bio – safety Bio-security framework

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Professional Certificate in Science laboratory technologist, Industrial Chemistry, analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Successful candidates shall be placed on contract for a period of one (1) year. Other terms and conditions of service shall be guided by the provisions of the National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) approved Human Resource Instruments.
