We are a Christian school in the education sector looking for an additional Kitchen Assistant. Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen under the supervision of the Cateress, help in the organization with a view to optimal resource utilization, hygiene, safety, and general operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ingredients preparations this includes (chopping, peeling, sorting, cutting, etc.)
• Prepare and serve meals for learners, staff and during events.
• Ensure timely serving of all meals throughout the day.
• Ensure there is a constant supply of clean and fresh water for cleaning and cooking.
• Participate in food preparation and follow cooks’ instructions on general kitchen operation.
• Ensure a great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Follow cooks’ instructions on menus accordingly to ensure proper nutrition and healthy eating.

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Food production or catering.
• 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Valid certificate of good conduct.
• Valid food handler’s certificate.
