The salary for the role is Ksh 30,000 – 40,000 monthly. Proficiency in insurance sales, client relationship management, and business development is required.

The Insurance Sales Agent will be responsible for promoting and selling last expense insurance products, identifying new business opportunities, and growing the customer portfolio. The role requires building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients while providing professional guidance on insurance solutions that meet their needs.

Sales & Business Development

  • Market and sell last expense insurance products to potential clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through proactive sales activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the customer portfolio.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets within set timelines.
  • Conduct sales presentations and explain product benefits to prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand customer needs and provide suitable insurance solutions.
  • Follow up with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle client inquiries and provide timely support throughout the customer journey.

Customer Engagement & Service

  • Provide professional advice and guidance on insurance products.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience through effective communication and service delivery.
  • Support clients with policy-related queries and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling customer information.

Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and lead progress.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and updates.
  • Ensure timely completion of customer documentation and onboarding processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams to facilitate smooth policy processing.

Market Awareness & Growth Initiatives

  • Participate in marketing campaigns, outreach activities, and promotional events.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and market insights to improve sales strategies.
  • Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in insurance sales is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, particularly life or last expense insurance, is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and grow customer portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and deliver results.
  • Professional and confident approach when engaging with clients.
