To ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generator sets (gensets) to support uninterrupted power supply for operational facilities, equipment, and critical systems.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on gensets in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform inspections including oil levels, filters, fuel systems, and electrical connections.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.

Corrective Maintenance

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Replace defective parts and ensure proper functioning after repairs.

Installation & Commissioning

  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new generators.
  • Perform load testing and system checks to ensure operational readiness.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor genset performance parameters (voltage, frequency, load levels).
  • Report recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain daily and monthly reports on generator performance.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of fuels and lubricants.
  • Maintain compliance with company HSE policies.

Inventory & Tools Management

  • Monitor spare parts stock and initiate replenishment requests.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in generator maintenance and repair
  • Experience with diesel engines and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of generator brands (e.g., Perkins, Cummins, CAT) is an advantage.
