Academic qualifications

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
- Previous relevant work experience required.

This position is responsible for implementation of fisheries and aquaculture projects and programmes in the sub-county.
Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Receive and compile fisheries related statistical data from field officers;
- Analyse fisheries data and preparing reports;
- Undertake monitoring, control and surveillance of the fisheries resources;
- Undertake fisheries extension activities; maintaining of ponds at fish farms and hatcheries;
- Inspect fish and fish handling facilities at fish markets and farms;
- Promote fish marketing and value addition of fish and fish products;
- Undertake fisheries extension activities;
- Maintain fish farms, hatcheries and fish ponds;
- Participate in enforcement of fisheries law;
- Undertake market surveys;
