Qualifications

• Experience: Must have worked as a Driver II in a similar position for at least 7 years.
• Age: Must be 35 years old or older.
• Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a Mean Grade of D (Plain) or higher.
• Licenses & Badges: A valid class D3 driving license (for large buses), a valid Scania driving certificate, and a valid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) badge.
• Tests: Must have passed the Driver Grade I suitability test from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
• First Aid: A valid first aid certificate (lasting at least 1 week) from a recognized place like St. John Ambulance Kenya or KIHBT.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive students, staff, or visitors safely and on time while following all NTSA and Kenya traffic rules.
• Do daily checks on oil levels, water, brakes, battery, and tire pressure before driving.
• Spot mechanical issues, schedule maintenance, and report problems to management quickly.
• Keep the inside and outside of the vehicle clean and hygienic.
• Lock the vehicle securely and park it in safe places on and off campus.
• Drive staff, management, or students to official meetings, field trips, and events.
• Keep passengers and goods safe at all times.
• Give polite and professional customer service to everyone riding in the vehicle.
• Keep accurate and updated work tickets showing every trip, mileage, and fuel used.
• Make routine reports on fuel use and travel logs for management.

• Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI.
• Tax Compliance Certificate from the KRA.
• Clearance Certificate from HELB (Drivers do not need this).
• Clearance Certificate from the EACC.
• Credit report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
• Medical report on physical fitness from a registered doctor (Drivers only).
