Job Purpose

To drive business growth through effective loan appraisal, disbursement, and recovery while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring portfolio quality.

  • Mobilize members and generate quality loan business within assigned zones.
  • Analyse loan applications by assessing financial statements, business viability, and creditworthiness.
  • Ensure timely loan disbursement and strict adherence to credit policies.
  • Monitor loan repayment and proactively manage the accounts.
  • Offer members alternative solutions if they cannot qualify for the applied loan.
  • Negotiate repayment plans and ensure efficient debt recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and loan records.
  • Prepare monthly financial and portfolio performance reports.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
  • A Diploma in Banking, Business Management, Business Administration or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Cooperative Management, Commerce, or any related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in credit management or a similar role within a financial institution, preferably in a SACCO or Microfinance institution.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent customer service.
  • A team player with the drive to improve performance.
  • Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • A high degree of integrity and commitment.
