Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and editing articles for structure, grammar, and style
- Capturing, shooting, and editing high-quality photos and videos for multimedia reporting
- Coordinating with journalists, contributors, and freelancers
- Managing deadlines and ensuring timely publication of content across platforms
- Upholding journalistic ethics and fact-checking during the publication process
- Guiding content strategy and multi-platform publishing
- Providing constructive feedback to reporters and writers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Media Studies, or a related field
- Strong skills in Editing, Proofreading, and Attention to Detail
- Proficiency in Multimedia Storytelling: photography, videography, and video editing
- Experience in digital publishing and website content management
- Expertise in Content Strategy, Fact-Checking, and Adherence to Ethical Journalism Standards
- Strong Communication, Team Coordination, and Leadership Abilities
- Ability to work remotely while managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of local and international social, political, and economic landscapes
- Previous editorial or newsroom leadership experience is a strong advantage
