The Role
This is a hands-on content operations role. You will source, shape, and distribute content that puts the right people in front of the right audiences. You will have real editorial ownership from day one.
You will report directly to the Head of Media and work closely with our team across multiple time zones.
What You’ll Do
- Source and clip video content from conferences, interviews, and public appearances by founders, investors, and policymakers
- Manage and grow our presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, and X
- Research and track key voices, newsletters, and channels covering emerging market business and investment
- Systematically test content formats (hooks, length, captions, voiceover) and report clearly on what is working and why
- Build and maintain a content calendar across upcoming events and ongoing programming
- Support logistics for interviews, panels, and live event coverage
What We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in emerging markets, finance, or tech media
- Strong editorial instincts — you know within 10 seconds whether a clip is worth watching
- Comfortable with video editing tools like CapCut, Premiere, or an equivalent
- Self-directed and proactive
- Clear written communicator who can adapt tone across platforms
- Bonus: You have grown a channel, newsletter, or social account from scratch
- Bonus: You speak Arabic, French, Hausa, or Swahili
