Academic qualifications
- Diploma in Forestry, Urban forestry, Agroforestry & landscape Biodiversity, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Management, from a recognised institution.
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
- Certificate in computer application skills
- Previous relevant work experience required.
This position is responsible for the implementation of forestry projects and programmes in the Sub-county
Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Promote collaboration in the implementation of forestry projects and Programmes in the Sub-county
- Initiate capacity building and backstopping on community mobilization on tree growing
- Collate and disseminate forestry management information in the Sub-county
- Promote tree nursery establishment and management
- Inspect/assess and scout for tree pests, diseases and tree that may need pruning or felling
- Participate in field days, demonstrations, agricultural shows and exhibition
- Prepare and implement performance contract, work plans and budgets.
- Compile sectional periodic reports.
