Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Designer & Pattern Maker located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role involves collaborating with the design team to conceptualize and create patterns, assisting with fittings, incorporating embroidery and textiles into designs, and ensuring the alignment of fashion designs with the brand’s inclusive vision. The Assistant Designer & Pattern Maker will also contribute to quality control and fine-tuning designs to meet the brand’s high standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Fashion Design and pattern-making techniques
• Expertise in working with different Textiles and integrating Embroidery into designs
• Knowledge and practical experience with fitting to ensure proper garment construction
• Creative mindset and passion for fashion, with an understanding of trends relevant to size inclusivity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with the ability to work within a diverse team
• Previous experience in a similar role or understanding of the Kenyan fashion industry is a plus
