Role Description
This is a full-time/part-time hybrid role for a 3D Designer with expertise in physics and aerodynamics, located in Nairobi County, Kenya, with flexibility for remote work. The 3D Designer will design and develop models for aerospace-related projects, ensuring precise integration of physics and aerodynamic principles. Daily responsibilities include creating and refining 3D designs and models for engineering and manufacturing, producing animations, and ensuring realistic lighting and graphic elements in visual representations. Collaboration with engineers and scientists to translate technical concepts into visual formats is a vital part of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 3D Design and 3D Modeling is required to create detailed and accurate designs.
- Skills in Lighting, Animation, and Graphic Design to produce visually appealing and functional designs.
- Strong understanding of Physics and Aerodynamic principles relevant to aerospace technologies.
- Experience with recognized certifications in 3D design software, such as Blender, Maya, or AutoCAD, Onshape is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of commercial and emerging aerospace technologies is highly desirable, especially electric propulsion
