The Waiter will provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key duties include:

  • Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and present menus with professionalism.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
  • Serve dishes and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and courtesy.
  • Engage with guests to anticipate needs, recommend menu items, and address inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, service stations, and utensils.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Promote Sierra Restaurants’ specials and promotions to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a related field, such as Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Service, or Business Administration, from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant, demonstrating expertise in culinary preparation (for Sauciers and Grill Chefs) or guest service (for Waiters and Cashiers).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management in English; proficiency in Swahili is an advantage for local engagement.
  • Aged between 25–35 years
