Looking for a Communication job in Kenya? Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting a Visual Content Designer position for a leading wine and beverages distributor. The salary for the role is Ksh 70,000 monthly. The job is based in Nairobi. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, multimedia production, and brand consistency is required.

Our client is a leading distributor of wines and beverages in Kenya, seeking to hire a Visual Content Designer who is the creative engineer of their marketing department. In this role, you will bridge the gap between graphic design and strategic storytelling. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and optimizing high-quality visual assets and accompanying copy across all digital and print channels. Your goal is to elevate our brand’s visual identity, engage our B2B and B2C audiences, and create a cohesive brand experience that drives commercial interest.

  • Print C POS Marketing: Create high-impact physical marketing materials, including product catalogs, price lists, brand brochures, tasting sheets, roll-ups, and point-of-sale (POS) materials for retail partners and events.
  • Multimedia Production: Handle basic photography and short-form video production (Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes event coverage) from concept and shooting through editing and post-production.
  • Content Alignment: Write clear, compelling, on-brand copy to accompany visuals (social media captions, newsletter headlines, product descriptions, and promotional text).
  • Technical Copy: Translate complex product details (e.g., tasting notes, regional terroir information, product specifications) into engaging marketing narratives for trade clients and end consumers.
  • Brand Consistency: Oversee brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints; maintain and evolve brand guidelines.
  • Partner Management: Manage relationships with external partners, including designers, agencies, printers, photographers, and influencers.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience in visual/content design, ideally within consumer goods, hospitality, FMCG or retail.
  • Portfolio demonstrating print, digital, photography and short-form video work plus examples of copy alignment.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent.
  • Experience with mobile-first video editing and social formats (Reels, TikTok).
  • Basic camera operation and photo-studio lighting skills.
  • Familiarity with Figma/Sketch or other UI/product design tools.
  • Experience creating print-ready files and managing vendor/printer specs.
  • Competence with CMS (WordPress or similar), email-build tools (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.) and basic HTML/CSS for assets.
  • Data-savvy: ability to read social and campaign analytics (Facebook/Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Analytics).
  • Basic paid-ad platforms experience (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads) preferred.
  • Strong visual storytelling, typography, layout and colour-sense.
  • Clear, on brand copywriting for social, email, POS and product descriptions.
  • Ability to translate technical/product information into engaging consumer and trade narratives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Proactive, organized, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
