General Purpose

Our client is looking to hire a Tyre Management System Supervisor to oversee the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the tire management system, as well as data analysis and reporting to enhance operational efficiency.

Location: Westlands – Nairobi | Salary: Ksh. 40,000 (gross)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the functionality and efficiency of the tire management system
  • Ensure accurate data entry for tire usage, inventory, wear trends, and maintenance records.
  • Conduct daily visual tire inspections for all vehicles in the yard, assessing tire pressure, tread depth, and defects, including mechanical tire-related issues per the prescribed tire management procedure at all sites.
  • Develop daily and weekly work plans for all sites.
  • Prepare worn-out tires for factory retread and repairs.
  • Prepare all scrap tires for scrap analysis.
  • Ensure correct tire fitting procedures are followed.
  • Identify and ensure correct tire application.
  • Ensure rims are cleaned or refurbished before fitting new tires.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of both new and retreaded tires.
  • Manage all daily tire removals, rotations, and puncture repairs on the same day.
  • Maintain test data records for tires and batteries issued to customers.
  • Provide tire management advice and on-site scrap analysis for fleet customers.
  • Ensure proper handling, care, and maintenance of all company-issued property and tools.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety regulations.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on all customer visits, site tire inspections, incidents, and tire consumption.
  • Maintain daily records of all repair activities in the tire management system.
  • Submit monthly field technical reports on TMS plans.
  • Supervise and train tire inspectors and lead technicians on tire management best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and efficiency within the tire management team.
  • Ensure team punctuality and discipline.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times and take responsibility for company premises and products.
  • Ensure effective time management with a strong focus on client follow-ups
  • Maintain and update the current customer database
  • Adhere to daily vehicle release schedules.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed customer expectations.
  • Timely communication of all tire changes.
  • Commit to providing high-quality services to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in tire inspection, maintenance, or fleet management.
  • Technical knowledge of tire management, including repairs, retreading, and performance monitoring.
  • Company procedures and policies related to the job e.g. stock management, quality service, etc
  • Proficiency in using Tyre Management Software (TMS)
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service
  • Analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
