Tourism Officer II Job Elgeyo Marakwet CPSB
Tours & Travel Jobs, Elgeyo Marakwet CPSB Jobs. Responsible for promoting tourism activities, supporting the development and marketing of tourism products, collecting tourism data, conducting inspections and assessments, assisting in tourism events and programmes, engaging tourism stakeholders, and preparing reports on tourism activities. Requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism, or a related field. The position is based in Iten and requires on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and preparing simple reports on tourism products; identifying Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises (SMTE’s) and community-based tourism projects; inspecting and preparing reports on tourism facilities and service providers; collecting data and information for development of tourism guide books and tourism statistics; and identifying suitable locations for mounting tourist signages.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: –
- Bachelors’ degree in any of the following disciplines; Environmental Studies, Commerce (Marketing option), Geography, Business Administration, International relations or any other relevant equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
