Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tours Consultant located in Nairobi County, Kenya. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Tours Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for our clients, ensuring their safari experiences are flawlessly organized and executed. Daily tasks will include communicating with clients, coordinating travel itineraries, and addressing any client inquiries or issues.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and organizing bespoke safaris for clients.
• Keeping up to date with product knowledge and offerings.
• You will work directly with Overseas Tour Operators and Travel Agents as well as direct clients to provide personalized recommendations, answer inquiries, offer quotes and manage expectations from initial enquiry all the way through to travel.
• Managing Key client accounts and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Reservations management. Maintaining contact with suppliers and ensuring timely communication and reservations.
• Occasionally meeting and escorting VIP clients on safari.
• Coordinating with guest services representatives and tour guides to ensure all clients are met, assisted and receive all services booked in a seamless manner

Qualifications

• A diploma / degree in a tourism-related field. (Must have)
• A minimum of 5 years of continuous experience as a tours consultant/tours executive/tours officer in a reputable firm.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) is a must have.
• Strong knowledge of the Tourism and Travel Industry in East Africa.
• Familiarity with GranIT tours software (Must have).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
