Timber Construction Foreman/ Site Lead Job

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Timber Construction Foreman for a large all-timber commercial project in Nairobi.
The role will oversee timber installation quality and lead the in-house team carrying out timber cladding, waterproofing, ceilings, trims, protection systems, and finishing works.
Strong practical experience with exposed external timber construction and waterproofing is essential.
Responsibilities
- Review timber works against drawings, dimensions, geometry, levels, and connection details
- Identify installation issues early and coordinate corrective works
- Lead site teams and installation sequencing
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, detailing accuracy, and finish quality
- Coordinate daily site activities and progress
- Maintain site records and photo documentation
Relevant Experience
- Timber building construction
- Timber roof structures
- Timber lodges, camps, cabins, or eco-buildings
- Timber decking and exposed external timber works
- Timber cladding installation
- Outdoor timber structures
- Architectural timber finishing installed on site
- Workshop-only furniture or cabinetry experience without practical building-site timber installation experience is unlikely to be suitable.
Requirements
- Ability to read and apply architectural and structural drawings
- Ability to lead workers and coordinate site activities
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- NCA Accredited Artisan or Site Supervisor certification preferred
