Supply Chain Specialist Job
Role Purpose:
To support and optimize the company’s supply chain operations, ensuring timely sourcing, inventory management, and distribution of agro-produce in alignment with operational targets and customer needs.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day procurement of agro-produce from suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance, and price competitiveness.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation of agro-produce to and from storage facilities and client locations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and warehouse teams for seamless operations.
- Track and report on supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the supply chain.
- Assist in the implementation of systems to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Support in the preparation of supply chain and operational reports for management review.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain, preferably within agro-produce handling, FMCG, or trading sectors.
- Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier management.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with supply chain software/ERPs is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
