Supermarket Manager Job (30K)

Duties and Responsibilities

 Store Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth running.
  • Open and close the store as per operational schedule.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in all areas of the supermarket.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.

Staff Management

  • Supervise and motivate staff to meet performance standards.
  • Prepare staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor staff attendance and maintain discipline and morale.
  • Conduct training and mentorship for new and existing employees.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Monitor customer feedback and address areas for improvement.

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Manage stock levels, ensure timely ordering, and prevent stockouts.
  • Supervise receiving, storage, and display of goods.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper pricing and labeling of all products.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor daily cash flow and oversee POS operations.
  • Ensure accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and banking.
  • Control shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage within the store.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
  • Maintain documentation including sales reports, expense reports, and inventory logs.
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly performance to management.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Supermarket Supervisor or Manager
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices and customer service standards
