Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly and correctly
- Monitor product expiry dates and rotate stock accordingly
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, escalating when necessary
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems (if required)
- Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned sections (e.g., grocery, fresh produce, etc.)
- Assist in unloading and storing deliveries
- Support stocktaking and inventory control activities
- Follow all company policies and health and safety regulations
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- KCSE Certificate
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is an added advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit – able to stand for long periods and lift/move stock
- Flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Honest, dependable, and a good team player
