Store Supervisor Job ABM

We are looking for a qualified and talented individual to fill the position of a store supervisor.
Job location: ABM Athi-River

The purpose of this position is to organize and control store operations, establish and maintain minimum stock levels for critical production inputs, and ensure proper record management and movement of store items.

  • Effectively implement company Quality Policies and System Procedures (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, IATF, and Operational Excellence).
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date stock records, proper stock control, and safe storage of all stock items.
  • Liaise with the production department on stock requirements and coordinate with the Purchasing Officer on store requisitions, site services, and store operations.
  • Conduct physical verification of all receipts against accompanying documentation.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Department on receipts and with the Production Department on stock requirements.
  • Prepare daily stock reports covering receipts, consumption, dispatches, and accurate periodic stock reports as required.
  • Coordinate and control the fueling of vehicles.
  • Ensure controlled and economical use of stores, sundries, PPEs, and other materials.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and maintain proper housekeeping standards within the stores.
  • Ensure and enforce the use of protective clothing and safety measures by all employees to maintain personnel health and safety standards.
  • Assist in identifying training needs by collecting data on staff competence and performance appraisals.
  • Manage stock levels of all PPE requirements and control usage in line with company policies and guidelines. A monthly consumption report must be circulated to all Senior Managers by the 5th day of every month.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Interested candidates must have the following basic qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
  • Good understanding of factory processes, technology, and Kaizen principles.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload in order to meet required deadlines.
  • A mature individual with high levels of integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
