Stainless Steel Welder Job
We are looking for a reliable and highly skilled Stainless Steel Welder to join responsible for fabrication, assembly of stainless steel bollards in our workshop and erection on a specific site. The ideal candidate must be adept at working safely, reading engineering drawings, and executing high-quality welds that comply with building safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, shape/roll, fit, and weld stainless steel plates based on engineering drawings.
- On-Site Erection & Welding: Join and secure the stainless steel bollards on site ready for concrete placement.
- Welding Techniques: Execute flawless welds using TIG welding methods, ensuring maximum structural integrity.
- Cutting & Preparation: Use gas cutting torches (oxy-acetylene), plasma cutters, and angle grinders to prepare joints and bevel edges.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all welded joints conform to building codes and project specifications to pass structural engineering inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to site safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like welding shields, safety harnesses, and steel-toed boots.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on TIG welding experience specifically within the commercial construction or structural fabrication industry in Kenya.
