Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Solar PV Technology.
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in solar PV system installation and commissioning.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- EPRA T3 Solar PV License (Commercial/Industrial systems)
- EPRA B1 Electrical License (Electrical wiring and installation)
- Advanced knowledge of inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), charge controllers, and solar software tools.
- Familiarity with building codes, OSHA standards, and renewable energy compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities
System Design & Planning
- Conduct site assessments and generate solar PV system designs and BOMs.
- Specify inverters, PV modules, batteries, charge controllers, and related BOS.
- Ensure design compliance with grid-tied or hybrid integration standards.
Installation & Supervision
- Oversee installation of solar arrays on rooftops and ground-mount systems.
- Supervise electrical works, including inverter configuration and grid connection.
- Ensure project execution aligns with engineering drawings and timelines.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to PV performance, inverters, or storage.
- Document faults, corrective actions, and performance logs.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure systems meet all EPRA and electrical code requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols on site and during commissioning.
- Support inspection readiness and technical audits.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide client education on solar PV usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Report project milestones and risks to the management team.
