Our client, a leading Kenyan fashion and lifestyle retail brand, is seeking to recruit A Social Media Manager to join its growing team. The role is suited for an individual passionate to increase brand awareness through strategic and comprehensive social media presence. The primary role is to develop and execute strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement and traffic across social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with business goals.
  • Content Creation: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Community Management: Engage with followers, respond to queries, and manage brand reputation in real-time.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor SEO, web traffic, and platform analytics (CTR, engagement rates) to measure ROI and optimize strategy.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all platforms. Ensure all assets are on brand and in line with company values and goals.
  • Trend Monitoring: Identify current trends, tools, and social media trends to stay ahead of competitors. It also involves analyzing current marketing efforts to pinpoint weaknesses and make improvements.
  • Budgets: Manage social media advertising budgets.
  • Social Media Platforms: Manage social media tools and platforms used for scheduling, listening and analytics.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms.
  • Relevant certifications from organizations like HubSpot, Google, or Meta etc.

Key Competencies

  • Strategy and Planning: Developing content calendars and campaigns aligned with marketing goals.
  • Copywriting and Content Creation: Crafting platform-specific, engaging content that reflects brand voice.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Interpreting metrics from platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics) to calculate ROI and optimize strategy.
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of major platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and emerging trends.
  • Community Management and Customer Service

  • Technical and AI Literacy
