Senior Supply Chain Management Officer Job MNUC

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gatundu.

Key Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Assisting the Procurement Officer;
• Preparing tender documents;
• Secretariat services to the tender opening and technical evaluation committees;
• Secretariat services to procurement committees;
• Preparing periodic procurement reports;
• Participating in technical and financial evaluation of tenders;
• Handling queries from both internal and external customers;
• Implementing provision of the Procurement manuals;
• Conducting market research and surveys of goods and services;
• Providing input in preparing specifications;
• Ensuring safe custody of stores;
• Disposing unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;
• Participating in quality management and performance contracting processes; and
• Issuing of stores to users.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
• Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I or in a comparable position;
• Relevant technical and professional certification from a recognised institution; and
• Registered with a relevant professional body.

TERMS OF SERVICE Employment for the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer position will be on permanent and pensionable terms. The appointed candidates will be remunerated as per the Inter Public University Councils Consultative Forum (IPUCCF) and 2021-2025 CBA approved salary rates.
