On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior QA Engineer (L1) to join an innovative team building world-class software solutions. If you’re passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and eager to make a tangible impact, this role is for you.
Role Overview
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and overall quality of our client’s products. You will design and execute robust test strategies, champion quality practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end testing across web and API platforms to validate functionality, reliability, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with business requirements.
- Perform both manual and automated testing (white box & black box).
- Apply Agile testing practices using Jira for test management, defect tracking, and sprint alignment.
- Manage version control and workflows using GitLab/GitHub.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks with Playwright JS for UI and end-to-end testing.
- Validate APIs and integrations using Postman and related tools.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to provide actionable feedback, mitigate risks, and continuously improve product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 2+ years of QA experience, with proven expertise in test execution, test design, and defect management.
- Strong foundation in manual testing and experience with automation tools.
- Proficiency with tools and frameworks: Playwright JS, GitLab/GitHub, Postman, Jira.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a hybrid work environment.
Nice to Have (a Plus)
- Hands-on experience with performance and load testing using JMeter or K6.
- Strong knowledge of Agile testing methodologies with full lifecycle traceability.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
- ISTQB Certification (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
