Audit Jobs, KMTC Jobs. Senior Internal Auditor conducts internal audits and financial reviews, requiring an Accounting/Finance Bachelor’s, CPA-K/ACCA/CIA certification, and 6+ years audit experience (3+ as Internal Auditor I). Full-time role in Kenya.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:  

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience three (3) years of which should have been in the grade of Internal Auditor I or in a comparable position; 
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; 
• Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent qualification from a recognised and accredited institution;  
• Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA) or any other relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing; 
•  Proficiency in computer application; and 
•  Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing audit policies, strategies, standards and guidelines;
• Undertaking audit assignments in line with the approved audit work plan;
• Ensuring compliance of accountable records and documents and preparing audit papers;
• Providing input in preparation of audit reports for audit engagements;
• Evaluating progress and effectiveness of action taken to implement audit recommendations received from internal and external audits;
• Conducting information systems audit engagements including testing and evaluation of programs, quality assurance, and reporting of audit results; Preparing reports and analyses that communicate audit results for the relevant business conditions and risks control; Participating in evaluation of internal audit control systems; Implementing new technologies and business applications; and Investigating reported and suspected cases of fraud.
