Our client is seeking to hire a Senior Development and Security Operations Engineer to oversee IT development and security protocols, integrating DevOps, system operations, and cybersecurity. Key responsibilities include monitoring SIEM systems, conducting vulnerability scans, and ensuring 24/7 system operation. The role also focuses on policy management and compliance while mentoring team members to maintain high performance. Overall, the engineer ensures the integrity and reliability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Development:

• Collaborate with software development teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure systems.
• Develop, test, and deploy applications, ensuring adherence to company requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability.
• Document IT systems, processes, and changes comprehensively.

Security Operations:

• Monitor and manage security tools and infrastructure to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats.
• Perform regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Implement security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and data protection controls.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigating security breaches and implementing corrective actions.

Operations & Collaboration:

• Maintain secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure and network teams to ensure systems are secure and efficient.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams on secure coding practices.
• Train staff on security awareness and best practices.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

• Provide training sessions for the Infrastructure Squad on compliance requirements, monitoring tools, and best practices.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to enhance the team’s capabilities. 16.
• Mentor other Junior Resources
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with system monitoring tools and log management platforms.
• At least 3 years of Similar Role
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and security compliance standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• A deep understanding of Systems, Servers and Programming Language
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A deep understanding of the industry and business operations is a plus
