Security Information Analyst Job

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying patterns, forecasting risk, and crafting timely reports that guide strategic decision-making across our operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily open-source research and intelligence monitoring based on client areas of interest.
  • Update and maintain daily incident databases.
  • Prepare urgent Flash Reports and Request for Information (RFI) responses as needed.
  • Produce high-quality weekly and monthly internal and external reports (incident analysis, sitreps, client security updates).
  • Analyse incident trends and provide foresight into evolving threats.
  • Maintain information vetting protocols; clearly label unverified information when necessary.
  • Support the development of emergency preparedness insights and contingency planning.
  • Engage with external partners, analysts, and stakeholders to enrich contextual understanding.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • First degree in political science, criminology, security studies or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in intelligence, security analysis, or risk advisory.
  • Proven ability to produce analytical reports, incident summaries, or security alerts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of security protocols, geopolitical dynamics, and emergency response.
  • Experience supporting crisis management, operational planning, or conflict-sensitive analysis is an asset.
  • Strong research skills with both qualitative and quantitative analysis abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • High proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office
  • Analytical, curious, and detail-oriented with sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to present complex issues clearly.
  • Organised and able to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • A self-starter who can work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Culturally sensitive, with a solid understanding of diverse country and regional contexts
  • Fluent in English and Swahili (both written and spoken). Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
