Purpose of the Role:
The Security Assistant supports the Security Supervisor in ensuring the safety and security of the organization’s premises, assets, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring security systems and responding to security incidents promptly and effectively.

Responsibilities:
Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems to detect unusual or suspicious activities.
- Report any security breaches or incidents to the Security Supervisor immediately.
Access Control:
- Manage access control systems, ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Check identification and credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors.
Compliance and Training:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to security.
- Participate in regular security training and drills to stay updated on best practices.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and personnel schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of security incidents, patrols, and access control activities.
- Prepare incident reports for the Security Supervisor and assist in investigations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Security Technology, Security Management, Criminology or a related field.
- Proficient in network configuration and IP-based security systems.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in security, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of security operations, Security technology, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice unusual activities or potential security risks
- Proficiency in operating CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Ability to monitor and analyze security feeds and data for irregularities or breaches.
- Professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Ability to convey security protocols and procedures clearly and effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities to manage and motivate security personnel.
- High level of customer service skills to assist and address concerns of employees, clients, and visitors.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify security issues and develop practical solutions.
- Meticulous and ensure all security measures and protocols are followed precisely.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of security activities and incidents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, visitors, and law enforcement.
