Nurse/Matron/Housekeeper to oversee the health, welfare, and hygiene management of
students and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Health & Welfare Management: Ensure the general health and well-being of students and staff by managing medical care, first aid, and emergency response.
• Coordination of Medical Services: Act as the link between the school, doctors, nurses, and families, ensuring seamless healthcare support.
• Hygiene & Housekeeping Supervision: Oversee cleaning and housekeeping services within the school to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Student Well-being: Provide pastoral care, particularly to boarding students, and offer support in both physical and emotional health.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies regarding student and staff well-being.
• Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and communicate with relevant stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Housekeeping, or a related field.
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (for nursing professionals).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy medical environment, preferably in a school or pediatric hospital.
• Experience working with teenagers and an international/multicultural student population is an advantage.
• Age Requirement: 35 years and above.
• Certificate of Good Conduct (mandatory).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff and students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive environment.
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in handling student and staff welfare.
