The School Driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and supplies while adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, a commitment to safety, and a strong alignment with the values of the Foundation.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport staff, students, and goods to designated locations as per the schedule.
• Ensure timely pickup and drop-off for official school and foundation activities.
• Assist with loading and unloading items when required.
• Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to the Facility Manager/Administrative Executive promptly.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for use at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, and servicing schedules.
• Adhere to all Kenyan traffic laws, regulations, and the foundation’s safety policies.
• Ensure proper documentation is carried in the vehicle, including insurance, inspection, and logbooks.
• Provide assistance during emergencies, including performing minor repairs if necessary.
• Prioritize the safety and comfort of passengers, especially students.
• Support logistics during events, meetings, or trips organized by the school or foundation.
• Assist in other general duties as required by the school or foundation management.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of Highway Code and school bus regulations. 
• Possess a PSV License. 
• Possess a BCE- Class Driving License for more than 2 years. 
• Recommendation from previous employers. 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with school bus transportation. 
• Ability to operate a school bus in a safe and responsible manner. 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills. 
• First aid knowledge. 
• Residents in Nakuru are highly encouraged to apply.
