  • Bachelor’s Degree in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management or any other related field from a recognized institution
  • Registered with a professional body where applicable.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in the water sector, two (2) of which was in supervisory or management role.
  • KCSE certificate
  • Proficiency in Computer skills

  • Responsible for assisting with strategic and long-term water system planning.
  • Propose and implement water production and distribution projects that are geared towards improving service delivery in the entire scheme.
  • Developing a committed workforce by setting measureable targets to employees in the scheme.
  • Enhanced customer focus and positive experience.
  • Improve on meter reading, billing and revenue collection efficiency.
  • Ensuring cost reduction strategies are implemented.
  • Formulating strategies to reduce NRW in the scheme
  • Ensure reliable water supply to the scheme is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure customer complaints are addressed promptly.
  • Assisting with the reviews of water system capacity and service evaluations associated with water service extension projects and other potential service growth opportunities in the scheme.
  • Gather and analyze water system data to assist in the preparation of strategic water system planning studies.
  • Develop technical information and concepts into feasible and effective engineering approaches.
  • Develop strategic and strong working relationships with stakeholders for the benefit of NYAHUWASCO.
  • Handle technical, commercial and operation issues within the scheme.
  • Contribute to effective communication by listening and providing constructive feedback; supporting the creation of an open and honest work environment; cascading and sharing knowledge and information relevant to other members of the team and colleagues across the business.
  • Supervise, train, manage performance and motivate staff in the department to ensure improvement of professional skills, and
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
