Job Summary The role holder will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing a team of medical sales representatives who promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and medical facilities. The position involves a combination of leadership, sales, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of medical sales representatives, including setting performance goals and providing ongoing performance monitoring, feedback, and coaching.
- Develop, implement, and adjust sales strategies to achieve company sales targets, market share objectives, and identify new business opportunities through market, competition, and customer analysis.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customers (healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and medical facilities), ensuring prompt handling of inquiries, concerns, and complaints to drive customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Track, analyse, and report on sales performance metrics and KPIs, preparing regular reports for senior management and implementing corrective actions to improve results.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, company policies, and ethical standards while staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Manage the sales budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and controlling expenses to maximize sales outcomes within approved limits.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in using sales software and CRM tools.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in sales and marketing, business management or healthcare management is a plus.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in sales is preferred.
