Agronomic Support

Provide technical agronomic advice and on-field support to commercial farmers growing crops such as wheat, maize, potatoes, soya, sugarcane, tomatoes, onions, etc.
Conduct field visits to monitor crop performance and provide tailored recommendations for crop nutrition, pest and disease management.
Assist clients with crop disease diagnosis and offer appropriate solutions based on agronomic knowledge and company product offerings.

Sales & Marketing

  • Promote and sell agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, crop protection products, etc.) to existing and prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (large-scale commercial farms).
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities to increase company market share in the region.
  • Plan and execute field demonstrations, farmer field days, and training sessions.

Market Development

  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activity, farmer trends, and product performance.
  • Provide feedback to management and technical teams on customer needs, product performance, and emerging issues.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor promotional strategies and materials to local conditions.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports.
  • Maintain an up-to-date customer database and sales records.
  • Track sales targets and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Degree in Agronomy, plant science or any related course
  • Over 5years of experience in agronomic research or field agronomy, Agro sales and marketing with large scale commercial farmers who grow crops such as; Wheat, Maize, Potatoes, Soya, Sugarcanes, Tomatoes, Onions etc
  • Knowledge in agronomy, crop production and diseases diagnoses
  • Strong technical knowledge in crop production, plant nutrition, and pest/disease diagnostics
  • Proven sales and marketing skills within the agriculture sector
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently in the field.
