Risk & Compliance Officer Job Karen Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess compliance with the Hospital’s financial, technical and operational processes and procedures;
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all Hospital operations and maintain an updated risk register while supporting management in tracking progress in risk mitigating action plans;
• Facilitate the review of existing and proposed service lines and ensure they align with the overall risk management strategy;
• Facilitate awareness and training programs on risk management, compliance and controls;
• Detect business continuity related risks and collaborate with departments on remedial measures;
• Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments on third-party contracts and operations and report on their adherence to the Hospital’s policies;
• Support the integration of risk management in Hospital operations and decision-making processes;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls and propose areas of improvement;
• Assess risks and control implications of emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and support audits of AI enabled processes for ethical practice, data integrity and transparency;
• Periodically analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the control system in place to mitigate risk and promote the control culture of the organization; and
• Prepare and submit periodic risk and compliance reports for management decision making.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in Risk and Compliance.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Law or Business from a recognized university.
• CISA or CIA qualifications are an added advantage.
