Registered Nurse Job Kenya Medical Research – KEMRI

Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing study participants and establishing health care needs.
- Planning and implementing research related procedures as per specific study protocols. Ie Project enrolment
- Working closely with the Community health promoters
- Liaison officer between the Project and the health facility staff
- Ensuring infection prevention control at the site
- Assisting in data collection at the study site
- Providing health education and counselling on identified health and socio-economic needs to patients/clients.
- Completing data capture as per specific study protocol.
- Referring patients and clients appropriately.
- Ensuring quality control on nursing documents.
- Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment.
- Ensuring safe custody of the nursing equipment and nursing records
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Vacancy Requirements:
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Nursing/Midwifery, Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Mandatory
- Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Mandatory
- Valid Practicing Licensing from the Nursing Council of Kenya; Mandatory
- Experience in Research/Clinical trials Mandatory
- Proficiency in computer application skills from a recognized institution. Mandatory
- Organizational Skills Mandatory
- Communication Skills Mandatory
- Interpersonal skills Mandatory
- Team player Mandatory
