Our client in the FMCG sector is looking for Quality Assurance Officer

Role Purpose: To monitor, evaluate, and ensure that all food products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role supports compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry regulations such as HACCP, ISO, BRC, and local food safety laws.

Quality and Food Safety Management

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain food safety and quality systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, BRC, etc.).
  • Ensure all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet quality specifications.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations, microbiological checks, and chemical testing where applicable.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certification audits.
  • Ensure product labeling complies with regulatory and customer requirements.

Process Monitoring & Control

  • Oversee production processes to ensure adherence to quality and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) and verify corrective actions where deviations occur.
  • Conduct regular factory hygiene and GMP inspections.

Training & Awareness

  • Train production and operations staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality practices.
  • Promote a strong food safety culture within the organization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and R&D teams to drive process and product improvements.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the food industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of QA experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, BRC, or equivalent food safety standards.
  • Good understanding of microbiology, food safety risks, and testing methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
