We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a proven track record of building high-performing QA teams, leading automation initiatives, and embedding a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions across web, mobile, and API platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for frontend (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) and backend/API testing (JMeter, Postman).
- Ensure thorough regression, integration, smoke, and performance testing coverage.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Establish and maintain quality gates, SLAs, and testing frameworks aligned with ISO/ISTQB standards.
- Perform QA audits and lead process improvements across teams.
- Develop detailed test plans, SRS, RTMs, and documentation for internal teams.
- Manage defect tracking, triaging, and root cause analysis using tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure feature readiness and release confidence.
- Ensure product usability and user experience through exploratory and UAT testing.
- Proactively identify user pain points and support product improvements through QA feedback.
- Ensure minimal defect leakage to production through robust test coverage and peer reviews.
- Support post-release quality checks and incident reports.
Skills, Experience, and Competencies
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA engineering, with at least 3 in a lead capacity.
- Proven success in establishing and scaling QA teams and processes.
- Strong command of testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and Espresso.
- Experience with testing frameworks in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Dart.
- Expertise in managing test plans, cases, and reporting through Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Experience testing APIs, web apps, Android apps, and hardware integrations.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with GitHub, SonarQube, Gerrit, and CI/CD processes.
