QA & Design Intern Job Synnefa

Job Summary:

The QA & Design Intern will work closely with the Product Designer and QA Consultant to test new features, identify bugs, support UI/UX improvements, maintain documentation, and contribute to a polished product experience. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop hands-on skills in user-centered design, digital product testing, and collaborative product development workflows.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design support:

  • Assist in the development and refinement of FarmCloud’s UI components and assets
  • Participate in design brainstorming & review sessions gathering feedback and documenting improvements needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining a consistent design system
  • Support conducting user experience evaluations and compiling insights from stakeholder and user feedback

QA Support

  • Collaborate with the QA consultant to execute test cases against acceptance criteria and log test results.
  • Assist in conducting manual testing of new features and UI updates to ensure functional accuracy.
  • Support the QA consultant in identifying and reporting bugs and usability issues.
  • Help ensure QA documentation is up to date and well structured.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate of Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or someone with a strong portfolio and interest in UI/UX or QA).
  • A background in a relevant field of study such as Design, HCI, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
  • 0–1 year of relevant experience (internship level).
  • Experience or familiarity with technology, SaaS, digital products, UX/UI design, or software QA.
  • Proficiency with a design or prototyping tool such as Figma, Canva, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • A basic understanding of a design system or component library and how design translates into development.
  • Familiarity with ClickUp or another collaboration platform.
  • Familiarity with usability testing or bug-tracking workflows (nice to have).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and stay organized.

Remuneration: We pay our interns KES.20,000 per month.
