Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in creating and implementing communication plans that align with the County Government’s goals and objectives;
• Gathering information on programmes and significant events;
• Editing stories on topical issues, ensuring that messages are clear and consistent;
• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media practitioners and the public on issues of mutual concern;
• Assisting in scheduling Interviews and managing assigned projects and programmes under the guidance of the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, candidates must:

• Be in possession of a Bachelors Degree in mass Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognised institution/University;
• possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
• be proficient in Information Communication Technology including use of Internet and intranet services; and
