Role Description

AkaMusyi is seeking 5 volunteer psychiatrists and psychologists to support the growing mental health needs of women living in our community. Due to overwhelming demand, we are expanding our mental health support services and are looking for qualified professionals willing to contribute approximately 20 hours per month.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Psychiatry and Psychiatric Care.
• Knowledge and experience in Adolescent Psychiatry and supporting mental health needs for younger populations.
• Skills and experience in providing care and guidance in Mental Health contexts.
• Proficiency in the Kamba language to effectively communicate with the community.
• Empathy, active listening skills, and cultural sensitivity when engaging with diverse individuals.
• A degree or higher qualification in Psychiatry, Psychology, or Mental Health-related fields.
• Previous experience in volunteer work or community service is an advantage but not required.
