Prosecution Counsel Job ODPP

The Prosecution Counsel is responsible for conducting criminal prosecutions on behalf of the state and supporting the effective administration of justice through professional legal representation in criminal proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing investigation files submitted by investigative agencies
  • Determining appropriate criminal charges based on available evidence
  • Representing the Office in criminal proceedings before courts of law
  • Presenting evidence and examining witnesses during court hearings
  • Preparing legal arguments and case documentation for prosecution
  • Advising investigative agencies on legal issues during investigations
  • Participating in case preparation and case management processes
  • Ensuring prosecutions comply with legal standards and constitutional principles
