Project Coordinator –Narok NGO Job Betty Adera Foundation

Location: Narok South Sub-County Office
Reports to: Director of programs and Partnerships with a dotted line to the M&E Officer
(both Nairobi HQ)
Supervises: Community Outreach Officer, Field Admin Assistant, Auntie Mentors, CHPs,
and Male Champions
Contract Type: Full-time (18 months, renewable based on performance and funding)

Purpose of the Role

The Project Coordinator provides field-level leadership and oversight for the implementation of BAF’s adolescent SRHR project in Narok South. S/he ensures timely execution of activities, supervision of community structures (Aunties, CHPs, Male Champions), coordination with County Health and Gender Departments, and adherence to project objectives and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and reporting of project activities across target wards.
  • Supervise and mentor field teams, ensuring quality implementation and compliance with safeguarding standards.
  • Liaise with County Government departments, schools, and community structures for smooth coordination.
  • Track project performance indicators, support data collection, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support M&E and documentation of best practices, case studies, and success stories.
  • Facilitate quarterly review and learning meetings and represent BAF in sub-county coordination forums.
  • Ensure efficient use of project resources and adherence to BAF’s financial and operational procedures.
  • Assume overall responsibility of field office and assets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Development, Gender Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing community-based SRHR, GBV, or adolescent health projects.
  • Proven coordination, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, Kiswahili, and Maa is an added advantage.
