Basic job summary:
The job holder is responsible for facilitating the implementation of programs/projects to achieve the program/project’s objectives in alignment with stakeholders and the University’s strategy, policies, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate effective communication within the project team, ensuring that information is shared promptly and accurately.
- Be the liaison between different stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned with project objectives.
- Generate regular reports on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators for communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, project plans, and relevant files.
Project Management
- Maintain project or program scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate the project plans, schedule, and allocate resources effectively.
- Resolve project or program risks throughout its lifecycle.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Coordinate the utilization of project technological tools to manage activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of tasks and activities to ensure that the project stays on schedule.
Administration
- Develop and manage project documentation and performance reporting
- Prepare the project’s work plans to ensure a timely and high-quality completion of activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: sustainable energy, renewable energy technologies, chemistry, Physics, biochemistry, forestry, agriculture, environmental science, engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, energy) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Certificates in Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation will be added advantage.
- Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Project Management
- Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Budgeting and grants financial reporting.
- Writing academic papers and research.
