Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned to customer orders and delivery timelines.
• Monitor daily production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time completion.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and production supplies.
• Ensure optimal machine utilization and workflow efficiency across shifts.

Resource & Team Coordination

• Allocate manpower, machinery, and materials in line with production targets.
• Assign clear responsibilities and supervise production staff to ensure accountability.
• Monitor staff productivity and enforce adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and on-the-job coaching to production teams.

Quality Control & Operational Excellence

• Ensure production output meets product specifications and company quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address non-conformities and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate production documentation including work orders, batch records, and SOP compliance reports.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and zero-defect production.

Process Improvement & Cost Management

• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimization initiatives.
• Implement waste reduction strategies and monitor reject rates.
• Monitor production costs and maintain operations within approved budget thresholds.
• Drive initiatives that improve throughput and reduce downtime.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with maintenance, logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure seamless production flow.
• Provide regular performance reports and operational updates to management.
• Participate in production planning meetings and strategic operational reviews.

Safety, Compliance & Reporting

• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, operational policies, and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within the production floor.
• Maintain accurate production logs, inventory usage records, and shift reports.
• Other Responsibilities
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Authority Level

• Authority to halt production in cases of safety risk or serious quality deviation.
• Authority to recommend disciplinary action for safety or performance violations.
• Authority to escalate operational risks directly to senior management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 95% of production orders completed within scheduled timelines.
• ≤5% production downtime due to material shortages.
• ≥92% first-pass quality yield per quarter.
• Production costs maintained within ±5% of allocated budget.
• 15% reduction in waste/reject rate within 12 months.
• 100% timely and accurate production reporting (≤2% error rate).
• At least 80% of production staff meeting or exceeding performance targets quarterly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in production supervision or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, safety standards, and inventory control.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning tools.
• Experience with ERP systems or production management software is an added advantage.
• Ability to analyze production data and generate performance reports.
