Requires a Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Confectionery Technology, or a related field, with at least three years’ experience. The position is based in Nairobi, and requires on-site work.

Role Overview:

Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency. Focuses on analyzing and improving the flow of materials and information throughout the production process to enhance productivity, product quality, and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Production: Oversee daily production operations in the confectionery department to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control standards to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., food safety, labeling).
• Production Planning: Coordinate production schedules, material requirements, and labor allocation to meet production targets.
• Training and Development: Train production staff on new products, processes, and equipment to ensure efficient production and minimize errors.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Confectionery Technology, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a confectionery production environment, with supervisory experience

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of confectionery production processes and equipment
• Familiarity with food safety and quality control systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
